Discovering effects of shame in my life after reading the book SERAPHIC ENCOUNTERS :ADAM AND EVE

Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2020

The book has brought me to a point of relating my life experiences to the story of Adam and Eve as it is potrayed by the Author of this book Josephene Kilde. I realized shame as it was when Adam and Eve ate fruit from the tree that was forbiden has also taken place in mylife. I have lived a life of shame. The shame of broken relationshipwith the father of my children after years of domestic violence and having to live as a single mother. I have always felt guilt and regret why I married my ex husband and guilt of feeling shame and sadness to thik about it since i had two children in that relationship. I ask myself if i did not have that relationship would i have had my lovely son and daughter? I dont regret having then and they are my world but i sometimes ask was it not God's plan?. It has been a real struggle until i read Chapter 5 and Reflection and Discussion Question 5 . It has changed my thinking. I now know that i can live a shame free life, guilt free life and fear free life. I can take this problem and bring it to the cross because Jesus paid the price on the cross. From the book I now know my past doesnt have to define me or determine my Destiny. I moved from Kenya to Canada with my 2 children and i believe God had good plans for us after the fall .In this case my marriage. Psalm 51: 1 - 17 stood out in my mind also as it is in the book God bless you Josephene for ministering to hearts of people . Thanks

As I read the book your wrote, I was reminded of Romans 5:3 - 5,

"And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

Your story demonstrates a life that is faced with many tribulations, yet you persevered. And as you persevered, your character became stronger, yet you never became bitter or hard of heart. You worked hard at holding on to your faith and your hope in something better. In the pages of your book, we can see the Holy Spirit at work in your life as your life story unfolds. Your heart pours out His love to all who are in your presence. Thank you for the gift of yourself that you have shared with us in the pages of "Josephine". You are an incredible woman of faith, courage and love. God bless you.
